The Health Sciences Library provides access to printers, copiers and scanners using the campus-wide networked PrintSmart system.

Something went wrong with my print job.  What should I do?

Visit PrintSmart to make sure you are following the instructions correctly. If the problem persists, submit the Report a Problem form to PrintSmart.

Charging Stations

Using Charging Stations

The library provides access to 14 self-serve charging lockers available with locking systems similar to hotel room safes.  Charging stations are located beside the print station on the upper level of the library.


Using Charging Stations

General Use
  • Lockers are available for use during regular opening hours.
  • The charging lockers are available free of charge to all library users.
  • You can access your locker at any time during the charging process.
  • Lockers are for personal electronic devices only. All other items are prohibited.
  • The library is not responsilbe for any lost, damage or stolen items caused by using the charging station.
  • Be aware of the library's charging station regulations prior to use. 
Charging Your Device
  1. Plug in your device and place it in the locker.
  2. Create a four-digit lock code using the rotating dials. 
  3. Shut the door and turn the knob to the left to lock. 
  4. Rearrange the lock code using the rotating dials. The door is now locked.
  5. Enter your four-digit lock code to open the door and retrieve your device

  • Small lockers 1-4 have a Micro USB (non-Apple devices) and two Apple Lightning (iPhone 5 & newer) cables inside. Suitable for mobile phones only, not for laptops or tablets.
  • Small lockers 5-12 have a Micro USB (non-Apple devices), a Micro USB 3.0 and an Apple Lightning (iPhone 5 & newer) and an Apple 30-pin cables inside. Suitable for mobile phones only, not for laptops or tablets.
  • Large lockers 13-14 have a Micro USB (non-Apple devices), a Micro USB 3.0 and an Apple Lightning (iPhone 5 & newer) and an Apple 30-pin cables inside. Suitable for small tablets.

FAQs

What happens if I forget my code?

Fill out the Charging Station Problem form at the library Service Desk. Mobile devices will only be retrieved Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by authorized library staff. Users must be present when devices are retrieved.

What happens if I forget my device in the charging station?

Devices left in the charging stations for more than one business day will be turned over to Hamilton Health Sciences Security.
