Borrowing & Access

Borrowing from all McMaster Libraries, HSL, Thode, Innis and Mills. Some restrictions apply. HSL’s online resources can be accessed from library computers. Off-campus access (including from within the hospital) is not available for MUMC staff unless you have a McMaster appointment. 

Computers

Desktop PC computers are available for use in the library’s Learning Commons. A MAC ID is required to use the software on library computers.

Research Help

Staff at the library’s Service Desk are available to help with basic library research. For more in-depth assistance contact the HHS McMaster Site Librarian; librarymumc@hhsc.ca.

Print, copy, scan

A guest account with the McMaster Printsmart system is available for use for MUMC staff.

The library will place material on reserve for faculty in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Learn more about borrowing from the library’s reserve collection.

Reading lists for all FHS courses are needed to build the collection and are required if the material is to be put on reserve. Please contact the Health Sciences Library for more information.

Non-FHS Reserves can be accessed electronically via the University Library’s eReserves system, or as physical items that can be borrowed from the front desks at Mills or Thode Libraries.
