McMaster libraries asking the community for feedback
Are libraries across campus meeting your informational and research needs? Do you need more quiet study space? Can you find the help you need at library services desks?
McMaster University Libraries are inviting faculty, staff, and students to provide input on these questions and more as part of a survey aimed at finding ways to improve library services, spaces, and collections.
The survey is part of McMaster University Library’s strategic planning process. Survey responses will help inform the development of new services, initiatives, and programming.
“Our campus libraries play a critical role in supporting learning, teaching, and research at McMaster University,” said Vivian Lewis, McMaster University Librarian. “I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to complete the survey so we can better understand what our community needs. Your input matters to us.”
McMaster University Libraries includes the Health Sciences Library, H.G. Thode Library of Science and Engineering, Innis Library (opening 2025), and Mills Memorial Library.
Jennifer McKinnell, director of Health Sciences Library, added: “Since returning to full in-person services after the COVID-19 pandemic closures, many learners and researchers have expressed an interest in changing the way they work with the libraries. We are eager for your feedback so we can continue to build a future library service that meets your needs.”
All undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff will receive an email inviting them to participate in the survey.
The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. Responses will be completely anonymous.
The survey is open from Feb. 26 to March 15, 2024.
Please check your email for a link to the survey and for your chance to win one of 10 VISA gift cards valued at $100 each.
