What is the Photocopy Service?

The service provides paper photocopies of articles for a fee. Requested articles not held at McMaster will be supplied through Interlibrary Loans (RACER).

What are the fees?

The charge for material held in the Health Sciences Library is $7.00 per article. Requested articles not held at McMaster will be supplied through Interlibrary Loans (RACER) at $7.00 per article, plus a $3.00 RACER fee. If charging to a University account, the account number must be provided when the request is submitted. If paying by Mastercard, Visa, debit or cheque the method of payment must be stated when the request is submitted. Cash payments are not accepted.

How do I submit a request?

An electronic or printed list of complete citations must be provided. Articles will not be provided for incomplete citations.

How do I receive the material?

Requests can be picked up at the Health Sciences Library Service Desk. Please see for library hours. Alternatively, articles can be sent to you via campus mail or Canada Post (fees may apply). However, articles cannot be emailed. You will be contacted by email when your request is ready for pick-up

When can I expect the articles?

Turnaround time is usually three business days for items held by the Health Sciences Library (exceptions are Interlibrary Loan requests).
