Connecting to library resources from home
To access the library's rich collection of online resources including databases, journal article and books, you must login to LibAccess first.
- To set up an account and login to LibAccess click here
- NOTE: you must have your McMaster Student Card in order to register for LibAccess. Contact Linda Wilson, RS Admissions Coordinator, for information on how to obtain a student card.

What to do when McMaster does not have electronic access to a book or journal article
- Search Library Catalogue.
- If the Health Sciences Library owns a print copy of the journal, you can request a copy of the article using our photocopying service. Charges are $7 per article + mailing fee. Please contact Jennifer McKinnell to submit your request.
- Articles not available at McMaster Health Sciences Library
- Request item via RACER - Interlibrary Loan service
- Register for RACER account (select Health Sciences Library as your location) (one time registration)
- Login to RACER - to submit request
- ***NOTE*** in the Special Instruction box, indicate you are enrolled in the Online Rehabilitation Science program - mail item (some conditions apply - see below) AND in the Pickup Location field, select Health Sciences Library
- ***NOTE*** Articles will not be mailed to students residing within 40 KM from McMaster University. Items can be picked up in person
