MISSION

The mission of the Health Library Network is to enhance the ability of each member to provide quality library and information services to the health care community it serves through resource sharing and other cooperative efforts.

The Network is committed to supporting the patient care, educational, research, and outreach mandates of its members.

HISTORY

The Network was formed in 1970 with six founding members, as a collaborative effort between the Hamilton District Health Council and McMaster University Health Sciences Library. Currently the Network provides access to sixteen resource collections.

FUNDING

The Network is supported financially by members on a cost-sharing basis. The Network Office and staff are located in the McMaster University Health Sciences Library.
